Cem Kalyoncu in the Fast Company Visionaries 2025 Edition
Selective and powerful digital transformation
Kafein Technology, which has identified geographical expansion, product and service development, and deeper specialization in cybersecurity as its priorities for 2026, aims to accelerate its technology investments both in Türkiye and internationally. The company’s CEO, Cem Kalyoncu, states: ‘The fact that technology investments have become an unavoidable necessity is one of the fundamental factors driving the growth of the IT sector.’
In recent years, technology has significantly transformed ways of doing business both globally and in Türkiye. Digitalization is no longer just a pursuit of efficiency; it has become a key factor that directly determines companies’ competitiveness, customer experience, and sustainable growth. For this reason, both technology companies and industries that rely on technology are moving toward more agile and more data-driven structures.
Today, AI-driven automation stands out as one of the most influential forces shaping the industry. Data analytics, data governance, cybersecurity, and cloud transformation are also among the critical areas redefining business models. In particular, API security, data security, and multi-cloud architectures have become central to organizations’ investment priorities.
OUR FOCUS FOR THE NEW ERA
At Kafein, we have long been focused on productization and the development of scalable intellectual property. Our products such as Data Focus, TDM, and Data Touch are actively used today both in Türkiye and in different countries. We continuously carry out development efforts by adding new modules, vertical solutions, and managed services around these products.
Geographical expansion is also one of the key components of our strategy. We are increasing our international reach by establishing distributor structures, OEM models, and regional partnerships across Europe, the Gulf countries, and neighboring regions. Our All-in Cloud and All-in Cyber brands have become core elements that support not only our technical capabilities but also our global growth model in both cloud and cybersecurity. Our collaborations with international technology companies make a significant contribution to the presence of our products in different countries and the expansion of our services.
We will become a reference player in cybersecurity.
OUR 2030 GOAL: To strengthen our identity as a regionally strong technology group centered on data and cybersecurity. We plan to bring our product portfolio to a broader customer base in international markets, become a reference player in API security and cybersecurity, and transform our operations into a more sustainable structure through global partnership models.
LONG-TERM VALUE: While building a strong position in strategic sectors such as finance, telecommunications, public services, and retail, we aim to make innovation and internationalization the core pillars of our company’s long-term value creation.
CHANGING TECHNOLOGY AGENDA
We anticipate that in 2026, digital transformation investments will continue with a more selective yet stronger momentum. The fact that technology investments have become an unavoidable necessity is one of the fundamental factors driving the growth of the IT sector. We believe that artificial intelligence, data governance, and cloud technologies will be adopted more rapidly, particularly in sectors with high levels of digital maturity such as finance, telecommunications, retail, and the public sector. In addition, demand for solutions aimed at increasing operational efficiency will rise in areas such as manufacturing, logistics, and energy
. The transformation of API security, application security, and threat analytics into critical investment areas; the widespread adoption of multi-cloud and hybrid architectures; and the growing preference for managed services will be among the defining elements of 2026. Türkiye’s young and highly skilled technology workforce will make a significant contribution to strengthening the country’s identity as a regional technology provider during this period.
TIME FREED UP FOR TEAMS
1. GEOGRAPHICAL EXPANSION: We aim to make our products and services more visible and accessible in markets outside Türkiye. We plan to grow through distributor structures, OEM agreements, and partner networks across various regions, particularly in Europe and the Gulf. New partnerships, certifications, and global programs will be among the key focus areas in the coming period.
2. PRODUCT / SERVICE DEVELOPMENT: We will continue to enhance our Data Focus, TDM, and Data Touch product families with new modules and industry-specific solutions. While aligning our products more closely with global needs, we also plan to expand our managed services capacity.
3. DEEPENING IN CYBERSECURITY: API security, application security, and threat analytics are becoming some of the most critical needs for organizations in the coming period. Accordingly, we aim to build a stronger, end-to-end security structure that protects modern architectures by expanding ApiFort and our other security solutions.
